After my previous post regarding the top five holiday destinations for 2022, many of you have suggested part 2 of the series. On popular demand here is the list of the countries you can visit in 2022 - part 2.
1. South Africa
One thing happens to us: whenever the name "South Africa" comes up in any traveling conversation, we automatically pay special attention. And it is that there are many times that we have wished to be patiently waiting in a stroller, inside Kruger Park, and praying to the spirit of Rafiki to be able to spot the big 5 (and all the other little animals that would like to be immortalized by our cameras and forever locked in an indelible traveling memory).
Will 2022 be the year we finally fulfill our great adventure in Africa? If only!
2. Peru
We decided that Peru would be our next Latin American adventure some time ago. And not only for its gastronomy (we are bears, but not to that extent!), We also want to break a sweat to reach Machu Pichu, stroll through the city of Lima, enter the Amazon jungle and fly over the mysterious Nazca lines (which by the way, they are less and less mysterious).
We will have even more desire to discover every corner of the country … And hey, the same thing we do a 2 × 1 and we include the visit of Bolivia in the same trip. It wouldn't be bad, the idea, right?
3. Greece
Greece offers beautiful sand beaches, ancient culture, and some of the freshest food and drink in all of Europe, so no wonder it’s so fascinating right now.
It’s presently open to trippers, whether they require to excavate into the chronicle of ancient Greece in the capital Athens and along the Peloponnesian Peninsula or jump between the fabulous islands of the Aegean, including Mykonos, Santorini, and Crete, and soak up the sunlight and warm waters at their sandy strands.
4. New Zealand
Imagine a country with snow-capped mountains, deep blue lakes, white sand beaches surrounded by all kinds of vegetation and fjords that form colossal labyrinths. These are just some of the landscapes that will take your breath away if you decide to travel to New Zealand. And the best thing is that there is always a place of adventure even a couple of hours from whatever city you are in.
Auckland is a modern and multicultural city, but it is not without a laid-back lifestyle compared to megacities in Europe or America. The largest city in New Zealand, located on the North Island, will be your ideal residence if you want to travel to New Zealand. So you can be at the center of their cultural, social, and economic life.
Two and a half hours south of Auckland, you will find this tourist city, which is the gateway to the sunny and lush Bay of Plenty. If you plan to travel to New Zealand just on vacation, you should set aside at least one weekend to enjoy some of its delicious beaches in front of deep blue waters.
Flower parks, kiwi orchards, dolphins, waterfalls, and markets are other attractions to see in Tauranga. And for adventure film lovers, there's a surprise just a 50-minute drive west: Hobbiton, the set where the Shire was recreated in The Lord of the Rings.
At the southernmost tip of the North Island, right on the shores of the Cook Strait, which separates it from the southern part of the country, you can't miss at least one day in New Zealand's political capital. Unlike others in the world, Wellington is distinguished by its quiet and safe mid-town environment.
Snow-capped peaks, glaciers, and an unforgettable starry sky are just some of the attractions that Mount Cook Nature Park offers on the South Island. This is the highest mountain you will find when traveling to New Zealand, at 3,754 meters, and the head of the twenty peaks that make up the area.
5. India
Traveling to India is a dream for many. But it is a dream that can be quite scary, and with good reason: when planning a trip to India, a thousand and one doubts arise. We know from experience.
India is intense, in every way. It is intense in its colors, in its food, in its rituals, in its looks, and in the feelings, it generates in all of us who walk it. On the same day, it will make you go through the most extreme states of mind and it will generate the most opposite opinions because India is also extreme and contradictory.
Traveling alone or alone to India is an experience that will mark you for life, but do not expect everything to be colorful saris and smiling locals, because if you go with that naive idea that they show us so much on social networks, you are going to run into a reality for which perhaps you were not prepared. From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, India will amaze you with its natural beauties along with man-made structures like the Taj mahal.
